Chapter 1 part 2

=The Merchant next to the cart noticed a stranger garbed in dark clothing from head to toe. He spoke up, sounding like a friendly person=

Hoi, stranger. Looking to buy some Apples? Freshest in Awnred, only five Ahns a dozen.

(Nerim)
=i flick some more water at him=
Yeah, just like a couple of farmers.

Only what?

I looked quizzical, not that he could see my expression.

I'm hungry. I was just taking an apple.

"Really? I'm not the one needing water, it's the plant. Maybe not even that."

I must've looked annoyed when I went back to growing the damn thing.

=He chuckles a bit=

Just the one then? 5 Sehms.

Atop a small hillock, in the nice cool light of the setting sun, sat a single figure, slumped over a little in his worn robes and battered leather padded armour. He sighed a little, rubbing his neck, his short sword in its sheath, his axe held tight in his hands. Looking up, he scanned the area, pouting. "What am I doing..."

Five what?

I backed off slowly. This guy seemed a little crazy. And he didn't stop smiling. Which was creepy.

(Nerim)
I'm flicking the water at you to help cool you off, try to get you to relax and not get a headache as quickly. Here, let me help.

=i go over to the plant and pour some of my water on it=

=He looks a little confused=

You're not from around here, are you stranger? You a Soldier? Whats your currency?

Currency?

I pull my neckerchief down and take a bite of the apple.

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going now.

=The Merchant called out to the stranger=

M- Hey, where do you think youre going? You gotta pay for that!

=A guard nearby saw the stranger as well, and heard the Merchant call out to him. He walked over to the stranger and stopped him with his sheild=

G- Alright, thats far enough outsider.

I turn to the guard, confused.

All I was doing was taking an apple to eat, when this crazy old guy comes and starts talking to me about Ahms and Sehms and all kinds of strange things.

=The Guard looks unimpressed=

Right... Now, why dont you pay the man what you owe him so I dont have to arrest you for theivery.

I began to scratch my neck, standing up. There was a temple nearby, perhaps it had someone like me. I slowly made my way towards it, and to my surprise I notice a pair of people outside. "Strange..."

I didn't steal anything? Food is free to all.

I take a step back from the guard, tensing myself a little. I didn't like where this was going, but I took another bite from the apple.

Well. I had it wrong.

"Oh..."

I get back to growing the food. Now I can see the grapes coming out of the vines at least. Not sure how to word it actually.

=The guard thought for a moment=

Oh, I'm sorry sir. I didnt realize you were Cubi. You're very small for a Cubic man, arent you? Anyway, we barter for everything here, and we use Ahns and Sehms. They look like like little round metal disks about yay big.

=He makes a small circle with his fingers=

I'll pay the merchant for you, this time. Just remember to get yourself some money, and keep your nose clean while youre here, eh?

=The Guard walked away, towards the merchant. He handed him five small copper-colored coins=

I stared after the guard, confused at the whole exchange. I turn to the man who had been given the discs.

So. I need those to get things?

I move towards the two outside the temple, interested in their business, and even their motives. I learnt the hardway to not 'sneak up' on people.
"Hello, my fellow wanderers." I smile a little, unsure of my own actions.

=The Guard nodded=

Yeah, just about anything here.

I take another small bite.

Okay. So how do I get those? Are they like, grown?

I was trying really hard to understand this, but it wasn't making sense.

I turn to the person who had came from my left. I didn't want to stop... but I did anyway.

"Uh... hello."

Before I knew it, I had my hand on Malice. Ready to pull him out if something happened.

=The guard laughed hartily=

No, they are not grown. They are forged and refined by official makers. You can get them a number of ways, hopefully legally. You should head over to Bauruk's smithy. I'm sure he would be happy to let you earn a few Ahns to get you started. It's just down that road, eigth building on the right.

=He points down the road to a building that looks a lot like a Blacksmith's building from Minecraft=

I give a little bow to him.

I set off down to the blacksmiths, still eating my apple. I supposed I'd need some of this...currency....If I was to travel around. I didn't really know where I was going to go anymore and this new world was so confusing.
