=Xazhi peered out the window and into the darkness, looking for what could have caused the noise=

Hmm....

=Suddenly, he saw something. A black silhouette with two round black eyes like the void of space, and what looked to be rough fur. It looked almost Human, or perhaps Revaer. It was smaller, though, and hunched over. He glared at it, trying to figure what it could be=

What are you....

=He blinked, and it was gone, nowhere to be seen. He looked around, as if to silently speak "did anyone else see that shit?"=

=shifts a little and tries thinking on what they would do next=

=Arma heard more movement, and whispered to me=

--Arrun, wake up. Wake up, things are happening. Keep in touch. You wouldn't want those you distrust to do things without your knowledge?--

=i roll over and whisper back=

--C'mon, get up. In your own words from the walk here, "who know's what they may do?"--

Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm getting up, I'm getting up

=i sit up and look around=

=i yawned and walked around the house. I went into what looked like central area, and saw the Rog walk in, reading stuff. I turned to look at the Rog=
Hey, whatever your name is, whatchya reading?

Paperwork. If you understand what that is. I was cross-referencing the dates of the last visit with dates of previous visits to work out when we could expect the next tribe to come through here. Now i'm just looking at a few old maps and journals i found in there.

Mhmm. Sounds like interesting reading.

=i yawned again and looked around for some food before just sitting down and all but forcing myself to wake up, and for my eyes to adjust=

=He continued looking out into the darkness, searching for whatever it was he saw=

It is. Actually. The dates for the next visit could be anywhere from 6 months to a whole year away.

I shake my head slightly as i say it.

As for these writings. There's some words i haven't ever heard. Like, check this.

"24th. Saw the Nightkin again today. It's always around here. I wonder if we've built this on it's hunting ground. Although it seems almost harmless to us."

There's a few other texts that mention the name too. I've never heard of such a thing before though.

Nightkin, eh? That sounds like a ghost or spectre or something. I doubt that's anything.

Hmm.

I continue flicking through the pages.

If it was some legend or ghost, surely each tribe would have their own story of it?

I bite my lip a little over the puzzle and sit down opposite the Sl'vesh, sliding a few of the papers over to him.

=i hear the paper, and see the outline of it slide over to me=
Hold on. Look away, I need some light for this.

=i wait for the Rog to look away before calling up some soft light magic to illuminate my eyes and cast the light down towards the paper, so I can read it. I scan it once, then start reading again=

I stand up and walk over to a torch, taking out the tinder and lighting it with the flint.

You can just ask you know. We do not live in constant darkness.

I go and sit back down, my eyes still on the page in my hand.

=i let the light magic fade=
This is your home. I would not ask you to do anything for me in your own home.

=i keep reading the papers, trying to figure out the nightkin curiosity=

No. This is your home now. As agreed upon our deal.

I look up for a second at him.

I just hope for you sake, you keep your deal.

=He ignored the others, and thought to himself as he glared into the darkness. He thought into all his history lessons, the old legends and tales, but nothing seemed to match. He was most intrigued by this being...=

I have one home. That is enough for me. I thank you, for offering, however.

You think you can go to that home while your petty war continues? You can't avoid it anymore than the others can now. This is your home.

I sigh a little.

I do not know. We do not have a strict time system. Each tribe does it differently. And these accounts could be from different tribes.

A war lasting a thousand years is hardly petty. Pointless? Maybe. Stupid? Perhaps. But no petty squabble is this.

Your war has lead to the deaths of millions and near genocide. Can you tell me why it started? Can anyone? No. Therefore it is petty. For now you only continue because neither side has the pride to stand up and try to make peace with the other.

I may not be able to go there, but it is still mine. My name, and my family's name adorn the walls. This may be my new home, but I cannot call it that.

Are there perhaps a two universal dates I can use to figure these times out?
