I lie back onto the log i had sat down on, closing my eyes

You wish for me to hold your hand as you walk, mage? Or would you rather i be left to do what i do best.

The contempt almost dripped from my voice. I wasn't in that great of a mood today, especially now we were walking.

=The Wizard sighed and continued walking. A few yards up, he came around a bend, and came face to face with a man in full Steel armor and a full helm, with leather covering every inch of skin not covered by the Armor. They stood there and looked at eachother for a moment before Aije spoke up=

Ai- Who are you?

?- I am No-one. Just a traveler.

Ai- 'Just a traveler' doesent wear full Steel armor. What are you doing out here?

?- Leave me be, Altmer. I have taken enough from your kind.

Ai- Are you threatening me?

?- I threaten none.

Ai- Then answer my question.

?- Leave me be, Mage. I seek no quarrel with you.

Ai- All I wish to know is why a 'traveler' would require such armament. Unless you are in fact one of those rumored Anti-Aldmeri fighters.

?- I fight none who do not first attack me or an innocent.

Ai- And who would that be?

?- Bandits and the like.

Ai- And do you think I'm a bandit?

?- Possibly. There have been rogue mages on the roads before.

Ai- Can you take a Mage?

?- Yes.

Ai- Do you think you can take this one?

?- Why do you taunt me so, Altmer?

Ai- i only wish to know your strength. Do you think you can take me in battle?

?- I would much rather avoid conflict for another day.

Ai- Are you scared?

?- On the contrary. I would paint this road with your blood, were it my way to do so.

Ai- And what exactly is your way?

=maintains his speed and tries to avoid drawing attention to himself=

?- My way is to protect and aid those in need of it, and make corpses of the evil. Now please, stop bothering me.

Ai- And what if I dont?
This one seems very capable... I would very much like to see what he can do in a fight.

?- Do not test me, Mage. It will be your undoing.

Ai- Do not be so sure of yourself.

The cart made the slow turn and Helgen came into view. According to what the local Nords say it was once destroyed in a dragon attack, not that you would know today, given the state it's in. Helgen, as it is today, is much of a typical fortified Nord town. Historically important, sure, it had a monument erected for those who had died, on that day some hundred plus years ago. Not that it matter much to Gnaeus, being the simpleton he was.

Ai- Verily, in a way.

?- I dont think very highly of backstabbers.

I keep the conversation light, and my eye on the merchant coming up the path

=keeps walking eating his smoked meat noticing a bunny run across the the road before vanishing out of sight=

Ai- Indeed.

?- Now, are you going to let me be, or will you continue to pester me?

Yes. We'll be right out of your way.

I glare at the mage and shake my head slightly to him, glancing a look at the merchant coming up the road

Gnaeus has a quiet mind, he doesn't speak and his thoughts are often few and far between. This, of course, is practiced. For the mining and milling takes much out of a mer, especially if he does so for a living. Physical prowess is but a side effect of his path in life. The simple life of Mining and Milling were enough for him. He was content, money and power meant very little to him, since all he desired had come to him in time.

Helgen grew ever closer, and the horses drawing the cart would need food. He knew this as their pace had slowed, the nords must have forgotten to feed them this morning.

I beckon the mage onwards with a glare from underneath my hood.
