ADVENTURE THREAD!

The room is dark, lit only by a single candle in the center of the North wall. The room is roughly three Meters by Seven meters, and made of a light sandstone-looking rock. The walls are relatively smoothe, and dusty. In the South-West corner of the room, on the South wall, is a Stone door. The North wall looks to have had some of the dust wiped away recently. The door the heroes came in from is on the Southernmost part of the West wall.




The Stone door is on the south of this square, the Entrance on the West.

"At least I attempted to fight, Orc."

I stood up, walking over to the Minotaur and the Orc.

The Elf notices that the dust on the North Wall may have been disturbed by hands, but not those of the Zombie.

I walk further into the room, stepping over the corpse as I do.

I examine the stone door, looking for a way to open it.

The member 'Umbreon' has done the following action : Dice roll

The Minotaur can see the edges of the door, which seem to be filled with dust or sand. There is no readily apparent way to open this door.

Gutsnik examines the corpse of the Zombie, attempting to find any residual traces of Necromantic magic upon it.

The necromancer finds nothing. This zombie is very dead.

Findecano moved towards the Nort Wall, noticing that it must've been 'disturbed' by hand, and not that of the Zombies.

"We are not the first to be here."

I run a hand along the door and turn, walking around the room, examining the rest of it as I do.

Through the dust on the door, Kyris can notice writing, hand-carved in Dwarvan.

"Tur rurk thkazrt azpour'k 'aha! Waann k'arkth n'hg ar k'a taarh!"

Just then, a thud comes from the other side of the door. There is the sound of metal clashing, muffled by the thick stone, and screaming. Bloodcurdling screaming. In an instant, it stops.

(CRITICAL PERCEPTION!)

The Orc can notice something on the North wall, through the scattered dust. There are creases in a rectangle roughly the size of a Human. The Stone within this rectangle is a slightly different color than the rest of the room, and there is a small hole at around belt-height, about the diameter of a twig.

The Orc can also hear the screams from the other side of the Stone door.

Gutsnik walks up to the north corner of the room and begins wiping the dust off of this wall with his hand.

"There is a passage here. It leads the opposite way to whatever made that noise. So I suggest we find a way to open it."

"I agree with the Orc, whatever made that noise didn't sound friendly."

Findecano scanned the north wall again, trying to figure out how to open the wall.

(CRITICAL PERCEPTION!)

The Elf looks around for a moment before spying a glint of metal beneath a pile of dust at the base of the rectangle. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be a metal rod with a loop on one end, about six inches long, and the diameter of a twig.

"Then perhaps you should do something."

I walk over to the door, pointing at the words.

"I don't suppose you speak Dwarven?"

"No. Although if you want to be useful here, why don't you go try shouting it through the cave in to the other dwarves and see if they'll translate for you."

Gutsnik stepped back and turned to the Elf.

"What do your elf eyes see?"

"Some sort of metal rod."

Findecano knelt down, picking up the rod.

(CRITICAL ROD PICKUP!)

Upon placing the rod into the hole, there can be heard by the whole of the party the sound of rock sliding across rock. A few moments later, the rectangle of stone slides backwards about 1.5 feet, and slides off into the East side of the wall. Revealed before the party now is a hallway, four meters long, with a turn Westward at the end. The Ceiling is the same height as the room, rougly three meters, and there is no ilumination.

"Well then."

I cross the room, and take hold of the candle, before walking back and heading into the corridor.

Gutsnik follows behind the Minotaur.

"Chose not to go shout to the Dwarves then?"

Findecano followed along, his bow kept in hand.

I draw my axe as I round the corner, in case of anything lurking there.

Coming around the corner, the Minotaur would be able to see that the Hallway continued east for about a meter before descending into a staircase roughly four meters long. As he walks, the Minotaur steps on a pressure pad on the floor, but quick reflexes allow him to raise his shield in time to block a poisoned arrow come flying from the wall over the end of the stairs. The light from the candle extends forwards to allow the Minotaur to see the hallway continue at the bottom of the stairs, another three meters forwards before turning south.

"Talkative pair, aren't you?"

Gutsnik begin a slow descent down the stairs, carefully watching his step after the last trap.
